Meet Dahlia…

I know that the popular views of stripping do not accurately represent my profession. People think I’m a desperate dumb bimbo who is flakey and slutty; a money crazed wild woman. I doubt the views will change anytime soon, especially with conservative government, seedy venues and a connection to underground criminal activity. In order to change the stigma against stripping, we need to create nicer venues, a union mentality with support for the industry workers and liberal laws. Change is slow; I’ve noticed the current economic climate has an effect. More dancers are coming back out of retirement, and girls getting into the business at a younger age. Hey, why not! Everyone else is making minimum wage and working twelve hour days.
